Find a Collection Method that Works for You

Everybody seems to have thier own style. If you want to keep bins in the kitchen or the garage, it is ultimately up to you. We recommend that you pick somewhere that is easy to access and visible. Don’t make it hard on yourself or your family.

Bins is always a fun part of recycling. You can go as simple as a cardboard box, or you can go buy fancy bins to hold your recyclables. We recommend that you find something affordable and easy to transport. Be creative with you bin. If you have kids, it can be a fun family project to create your own bins. Don’t freak out if it isn’t blue and doesn’t have a recycling symbol. As long as you know what it is, it doesn’t matter.

Locate Your Drop-off Center or Curbside Provider

There are places to drop-off your recyclables all over Knoxville and surrounding areas. Refer to our guide or drop-off centers page to find the closest to you. Make trips to the centers when you’re going that direction; it will help make it seem like less of a chore.

If you are in an area that provides curbside pickup, get signed up. It may cost a little each month, but it will make it easier for you to recycle.

The most important thing is to check that your drop-off center or curbside service will take the materials that you are collecting. They vary from place to place, so if you are confused send us an email or call us at 865.525.9694.
