You can drop off electronics at the main center on Elm St. They also take hazardous materials.

All plastic 1-7 can be recycled at any one of the convenience centers located all around town. For a complete list, download the Recycling Guide (on the homepage). It's a great resource with the centers listed by location and what they'll accept!

Where can I take two liter bottles and other plastic cola and water bottles? Does the Kroger on Clinton Hwy in Powell function as a drop off? Thanks.

Marion,

We are looking to start a styrofoam recycling program here at KRC soon, we are just working out the details. Currently, all of Knoxville's styrofoam goes to the landfill. We encourage you to do everything you can to not use styrofoam products. Check back soon for more information on our new program!

Thank you!

Lisa, I don't know of anywhere in West Knoxville that is a permanent location for recycling electronics. Every January the city/county puts on a E-cycle event. Watch for information regarding that closer to that time. Infomation is available at Plug-In To Your Community's web site.
