Frank was employed with the Anderson County government for 32 years. For the past 15 years, he was the Solid Waste Director. He is now retired from Anderson County. While working with the Solid Waste Office, Frank implemented multiple recycling programs for residents of Anderson County. These ranged from increasing the number of items to be recycled to providing assistance with the State of Tennessee’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events. Frank is a certified State of Tennessee Landfill Operator.
Frank has always been environmentally aware. While attending Oak Ridge High School, he assisted with the planning and executing of the First Earth Day Celebration event in 1970. Frank enjoys playing drums and riding his motorcycle. Frank has been on the KRC’s Board of Directors for 5 years prior to being KRC’s Director, so he has a sound understanding of the organization.
Bob Huffman – Driver
Bob is the longest tenured employee of KRC having been with the organization since 1994. Bob graduated from the University of Tennessee and is a veteran, having served during Vietnam. He was an employee of Rock-Tenn before coming to KRC. He has personally recycled most of the 21 million pounds of paper the program has collected. Bob is currently the one and only driver of the Purple Paper Eater! Bob also enjoys photography, sailing, speaking Chinese, and singing, (or least we think he does.)
Micah Reynolds – Recycling Service Manager
Micah graduated from Clemson University with a BA in History and a minor in Education. For two years at Clemson, Micah was Assistant in Operations of Clemson’s recycling facility. He was also President of the Outdoors Club, leading people on camping trips, at events, and at meetings. Micah has also volunteered with Jonathan Overly at East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition. He is very conscious of the use of clean fuels and being energy efficient to help slow global warming.
At the end of his Americorps service at the KRC, Micah assumed the duties of the Office Paper Manager. He helps set up recycling programs for local businesses and organizations. Micah has proven to be talented at balancing the schedules and providing quality customer care.
