Christmas Treecycling
Greenwaste, consisting of leaves, brush, logs, tree branches. etc. typically makes up 20-30% of Knoxville’s waste stream each year. Try to be GREEN with your Greenwaste. Recycle that beautiful Christmas tree and get mulch for your gardens this Spring.
The Knox County Solid Waste office, in partnership with Keep Knoxville Beautiful, will be sponsoring Christmas Tree Recycling this Saturday, January 2nd. For your convenience, they will be accepting trees at three locations (listed below) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
1.Solway Greenwaste Facility (8707 Joe Daniels Rd.)**
2. Halls Recycling and Convenience Center (3608 Neal Rd.)**
3. Forks of the River Greenwaste Facility (3106 Water Plant Rd.)
** Free Mulch available at these locations only. Mulch available the day of the event only, but trees can be dropped off prior to January 2. Trees must be cleaned and free of all decorations, lights, and ornaments.
