Building a Recyclable City
This Saturday, June 27th, from 10-12 am, there will be a fantastic childrens’ activity at the Earth Fare in Bearden.
The event will challenge children to build a “recyclable city” from cardboard boxes. The idea is that the entire city will be able to be recycled. This is a metaphor for how we envision our city being. We would like to eliminate trash all together.
While it may be a long time before we see our efforts come to fruition, we can certainly shape the minds of the next generation, so that they can continue in our efforts to create a more sustainable city and world.
If you are going to be grocery shopping anyways on Saturday, please consider stopping by for this fun event. The KRC will be present passing out recycling guides and talking to families about how they can begin to participate.
