2009 Recycling Guide Now Avalaible
With the new year just around the corner, the KRC has already begun releasing the 2009 Recycling Guide. It was debuted at the the ARD celebration on Nov 14th, and so far over 200 guides have been distributed. Last year 2000 guides total were handed out, so we have a great start on the new year already.
The guide is a comprehensive booklet of recycling information for Knoxville and surrounding areas.
This years guide features 100% post consumer recycled content for the inside pages and 30% post consumer on the cover. Along with the materials, the layout has changed from previous years. It is our hope that it will make the information more pleasant and accessible.
Alcoa played an important role in producing the 2009 Recycling Guides by underwriting most of the cost of the printing. This also allowed for the use of the more expensive 100% post-consumer paper, the nicer cover, and the purple ink used on the cover. A special thanks is in order for their assistance in making the guide what it is.
Coinciding with the release of the Recycling Guide, the web site is being updated to contain the equivalent information in a digital format. In addition to mirroring the information, the web site will have extra content not available in the booklet. The web site also allows for comments, so that you can leave tips about recycling as well as reviews. We believe that you have as much to share as we do, so please log on and post some comments that can help your neighbors in thier recycling efforts.
To obtain a copy you can download it at the bottom of this page or you can email us requesting a printed copy. If you need more than one copy for you office or organization, let us know, and we will try to make arrangements.
